Bumper crop of visitors at royal show

Author: The final Royal Show attracted almost 26,000 visitors to Stoneleigh Park on its first day, up from 24,000 in 2008.
Organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of England, the 160-year-old show runs for the last time this year. The society’s marketing director Denis Chamberlain believes the four-day event will be the biggest and best in recent years.
“Exhibitors are travelling from across the country and beyond to vie for a chance to take home a piece of history,” he says.
