Expanding our team

We’re delighted to announce the newest member of our team, Katie Strain, who joined Exhibit 3Sixty at the beginning of this month. Here’s a short interview with Katie, talking about her new role, the events industry, and her considerable expertise.

How did you find out about the role at Exhibit 3Sixty and why did you apply?
I heard that there was a project manager role at Exhibit 3Sixty through word of mouth, and contacted Alan Craner directly. I was granted an interview, which seemed to go well(!), and I was very pleased to be offered the job. I knew of Exhibit 3Sixty by reputation, and the role was an excellent fit for my experience, with plenty of scope for career development.

What are your key responsibilities?
My role encompasses a range of responsibilities: managing shell scheme, electrics, graphics, furniture and floor coverings in a full-service setting; corresponding with and advising clients; and drafting CNC and CAD drawings for stand production and design, along with all the normal jobs associated with a busy office.

What are your areas of expertise?
After completing my degree in Interior and Spatial Design, which included exhibition stand design, graphics and branding, I worked in several roles where I learnt key transferable skills. As a Clarins account manager I learnt how to communicate effectively with clients and build rapport. As a design technician for Barratts Developments, I developed considerable CAD and CNC knowledge through accredited training, and a refined workflow for producing drawings, plans and diagrams of many different kinds.

What do you like about working at Exhibit 3Sixty?
I like to be able to look around and say that I am proud of the company I work for. I may only have been here a month, but it’s clear that this company not only looks after its people, its clients, and its suppliers, but cares about them too. We’re a friendly, hardworking team, our clients are superb, and the events are an exciting and fast-moving industry, so there’s always more to learn.
