Coventry Growth Hub hails our success!

We’re officially a success story! Last year Coventry City Council, through the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) Growth Hub, made grants available to businesses reconfiguring their activities to adapt to the pandemic.

We received an £18,000 grant from the scheme enabling us to purchase a £36,000 CNC router much earlier than our business plan estimated. This allowed us to produce a greater variety of components at greater speed, and reduce our waste and our reliance on subcontractors. Having the CNC machine earlier than we had anticipated enabled us to bounce back after the pandemic at a much greater speed, and paved the way for expanding our workforce this year.

We also received a grant from Coventry & Warwickshire Green Business Programme after a free energy audit, receiving £2,800 from the ERDF scheme towards buying LED lighting for our workshop to improve its energy efficiency, increase safety and generally improve comfort and well-being.

We’re incredibly grateful for the financial support and business advice we’ve received from the Coventry City Council over what was a difficult time for much of the event industry. We can’t speak for every region, but engaging with our local council and business support has been instrumental to our post-pandemic recovery and success.

We’re also indebted to our MP, Zarah Sultana who has been unstinting in her vocal support of local Coventry businesses, particularly during the pandemic.
